Delighted to report that Zawawa – a book by Kozo Hiramatsu, Rupert Cox and me – is published by Archive Books. The book is part of ongoing research. The book is a bilingual Eng/JP presentation with fantastic translations by Asako Murakami. Included are longer discussions with Katsu Kabira and Seijin Yogi – who both survived…… Continue reading Zawawa: Listening to the Aftermaths of Conflicts in Okinawa

2420 ft
“2420 ft” is a new work created from a recording made at the WWT London Wetland Centre during a group listening session organised by Adam Stanović and part of his wider collaboration focusing on Wetlands habitats in UK and Chile, resulting in bilateral residencies and two concerts. Taking its title from the average altitude of…… Continue reading 2420 ft
DIVFUSE Exhibition
“Non Mountain,” my ongoing project with Chrystal Cherniwchan and Craig Tattersall was exhibited in a different iteration at London’s DIVFUSE gallery from February 14 – 16, 2025. A wall display of new prints and a new moving image work were created to accompany stereo playback of Side A of the 2024 vinyl release.
Bandcamp Field Recordings 2024
It was as unexpected as it was exciting to read Bandcamps’s Best Field Recordings of 2024 and spot my “Powerlines” LP included on the list. “Powerlines,” which relates to the collaborative Arctic Auditories research project, is not an easy work so I’m particularly grateful to Andrew Weathers and Cody Yantis of Rural Situationism for having…… Continue reading Bandcamp Field Recordings 2024
SOAS Talk
It was great to be invited by Luigi Monteanni to present a Music Research Seminar about my work to the PhD students at SOAS.
Arctic Anti-Radio
The essay “Arctic Anti-Radio” was published in Urbanomic’s Sonic Faction: Audio Essay as Medium and Method, edited by Justin Barton, Steve Goodman and Maya B. Kronik. There are some fantastic contributors to this collection, people I’ve long-admired and who I’m excited to be published alongside. My own essay explores the processes and contexts involved in…… Continue reading Arctic Anti-Radio

Q&A at Atelier Nord
An enjoyable time at Oslo’s Atelier Nord for an in-conversation with Alexander Rishaug on December 4.
Non Mountain
Non Mountain is a collaboration with Chrystal Cherniwchan and Craig Tattersall where the two tracks on a 10″ vinyl and the 84 pages of a book explore mappings of real and imaginary journeys to high places in text, sound and photographic images – and the ways all these can come together and fall apart. A…… Continue reading Non Mountain

One part of our work was transmitted on FM in Glasgow area, DAB where Resonance Extra is available and online elsewhere, with another dimension…… Continue reading Radiophrenia
